Frequently Asked Questions
Each variety of mushroom is a little different, some will pin (the stage where the mushroom block 1st starts to fruit, called pinning cause they look like small stick pins) in 4 days while others can take up to 14 days to begin pinning. However, most all of the mushrooms will need to be harvested 5 days after they 1st pin. You should harvest all mushrooms at one time.
Absolutely, we obtain our mushroom cultures from reputable sources, as well as cultivating our own cultures. We have a designated lab that we do all of this work to ensure a clean environment, to keep any contamination problems to a minimum. We work with only quality products for our substrate, and everything goes through a steamer prior to inoculation to ensure safety.
If at any time you have a question or concern about your mushroom grow kit, feel free to send us some pictures.
