Freeze Dried Gourmet Mushrooms
The simplicity and convenience of freeze dried gourmet mushrooms is one of their most attractive qualities, unlike dehydrated mushrooms though you would be hard pressed to tell the difference after cooking these gourmet mushrooms. To rehydrate add them to a large bowl and pour warm water over them. Soak for 5 to 10 minutes, as they soak they will regain their original texture, and rich flavor. When ready drain, dab with a paper towel to remove any excess water, then add them to your favorite recipe. Another favorite of ours is to save the water we rehydrate with to use as a umami rich broth.
